Illumicrate’s November 2026 theme is Saints and Sinners: an adult dark fantasy about a healer branded a heretic and the priest guarding her, in an exclusive hardback with a digitally signed author letter. The full box adds four items, including a reading journal. Illumicrate’s romance line Afterlight goes to the Arctic with Polar Opposites, and its sci-fi line Starbright picks a cozy sci-fi duology opener.
Illumicrate is a UK book subscription, but US and Canadian subscriptions ship from its US warehouse and are priced in dollars on its US store. Here is what Illumicrate has revealed for November, box by box.
Illumicrate November 2026: Saints and Sinners
Illumicrate’s fantasy pick, revealed on October 3, 2026, is the first book in an adult dark fantasy duology. In Illumicrate’s words, a healer “branded a heretic for helping women who dare to control their own womb” is banished to an isolated town to await a trial “likely ending at the stake,” under the watch of “a pious, unyielding priest hiding a dangerous secret.” Illumicrate pitches it to fans of social commentary in a fantasy setting, found family and “deeply unserious heroines and hot priests.”
The Illumicrate exclusive edition is a royal hardback with:
- An exclusive redesigned cover, plus a reverse jacket with the publisher’s trade cover
- Full-color artwork on the hardback with foil
- A digitally printed fore-edge, with sprayed top and bottom edges
- Illustrated endpapers with foil, different front and back, and artwork on the reverse
- Bonus content and a bound-in author letter with a digital signature
The full box adds four items inspired by the theme and by Dragonlance and The Lord of the Rings, including a reading journal. Source: Illumicrate.
Heads-up: Illumicrate publishes a long list of content warnings for this book, including religious bigotry, abuse, gore and threats of sexual violence, so check it on Illumicrate’s reveal post before you subscribe.
Afterlight November 2026: Polar Opposites

Afterlight is Illumicrate’s monthly romance box. November’s pick is a standalone adult contemporary romance: a photographer gets over a bad breakup by heading to the Arctic to photograph polar bears and ends up sharing a private wing of a fully booked wilderness lodge with its grumpy owner. Expect forced proximity, “life changing hot tub experiences” and, as Illumicrate puts it, “if they’re not careful enough, snow isn’t the only thing that could melt.”
The Afterlight exclusive edition is a B-format hardback with an exclusive redesigned cover, a reversible dust jacket with the trade variant, full-color art on the hardback, digitally printed edges on all three sides, illustrated endpapers, a bound-in author letter, bonus content and a hand-signed author signature. Illumicrate notes it is an M/F romance with a South Asian biracial main character and sexually explicit scenes. Source: Illumicrate.
Starbright November 2026: A Cozy Sci-Fi Duology Opener

Starbright, Illumicrate’s quarterly book-only science fiction line, has picked the first book in an adult cozy sci-fi duology, pitched to fans of “recluse biologist meets living spaceship pilot,” alternating timelines and stories about what it means to be human. The Starbright exclusive edition is a royal hardback with an exclusive redesigned cover, full-color art on the hardback, digitally printed edges on all three sides, illustrated endpapers (different front and back) and a digital author signature. Illumicrate says open spots go exclusively to people on the Starbright waitlist. Source: Illumicrate.
As usual, Illumicrate reveals themes and editions, not titles, before the boxes ship.
Our Take: Which Illumicrate Box for November?
Saints and Sinners is the strongest pick for collectors: foil on the hardback and endpapers plus a reverse jacket is about as decked out as Illumicrate editions get, and the full box adds a reading journal. It’s also clearly the darkest read of the three. Afterlight’s Polar Opposites is the cozy winter romance, and Starbright is the one for sci-fi fans who want something gentler than space opera. For US readers, remember that the full box ($43) plus shipping comes to about $54 to $55 a month, our math, which puts it at the premium end next to book-only plans like Fae Crate’s ($30 to $35).
Compare with the other November book boxes we’ve covered: Fae Crate November 2026, FairyLoot November 2026 and LitJoy’s To Bee Read November 2026. See also our Illumicrate listing. We haven’t seen these editions in person.
