Curology is an online dermatology service that ships a custom prescription formula to your door. You share photos and answer questions about your skin, a licensed dermatology provider prescribes a blend of active ingredients, and the bottle arrives on a regular schedule. It focuses on acne, but also treats aging, dark spots, and rosacea-like redness.

How does Curology work?
Sign up, upload selfies, and fill in your skin history. A provider prescribes your custom formula, often mixing ingredients like tretinoin, azelaic acid, clindamycin, niacinamide, or zinc pyrithione. You can message your provider to adjust strength as your skin responds.

How much does Curology cost?
The custom formula works out to about $29.95 a month, shipped and billed every two months ($59.90 per shipment). Cleanser, moisturizer, and other products can be added for more. Curology does not use insurance, though it is HSA/FSA eligible.

Is Curology worth it?
For persistent acne that drugstore products have not fixed, yes. Prescription retinoids and antibiotics are far stronger than over-the-counter options, and the price is lower than many copays plus a pharmacy bill. Expect a “purge” or irritation in the first weeks, and give it at least two to three months. Severe acne still deserves an in-person dermatologist.
Pros: real prescriptions, custom strength, affordable, easy provider messaging.
Cons: slow results, early irritation, add-ons raise the price.

How to cancel Curology
Cancel from the payment section of your account or by emailing [email protected], at least two business days before your next shipment. Orders already processed cannot be canceled.
