A Japanese Autumn Picnic in a Box
Japan Candy Box is a monthly subscription that ships Japanese candy and snacks from Tokyo. For November, the theme is fall in Japan, which the brand calls “the season of appetite” because of the harvest. On its upcoming box page, checked October 17, 2026, Japan Candy Box promises “comforting classics, crispy corn snacks, chewy autumn-inspired candies, and special limited-edition flavors like Japanese chestnut,” plus a few surprises.

Our Take
November looks like a classic Japanese autumn box: chestnut and sweet potato are the flavors of the season there, and both rarely show up in US stores. Alfort’s chestnut version and the premium Hi-Chew are the kind of limited flavors that make a Japan snack box worth it. With only four items named, though, this is a partial reveal, and Japan Candy Box doesn’t give a stated value. If you’ve been following the November Japanese boxes, it sits between the cute-and-collectible Kawaii Box November 2026 (from the same company) and the more traditional Sakuraco November 2026. For a kawaii goods option, see YumeTwins November 2026, and our best snack boxes of October 2026 compares the main snack boxes.
Best for: candy fans who want Japan-only flavors without the higher price of a premium tea-and-wagashi box. Skip it if: you need allergen-friendly snacks; Japan Candy Box says manufacturers don’t usually specify if snacks are gluten-free or vegan. We haven’t tasted this box.
