OwlCrate, the monthly YA and fantasy book box, has announced its 2026 holiday sales. First comes Morally Gray Friday, from October 30 to November 2, with $15 Mystery Book & Goodies Boxes and goodies at up to 50% off. Then a $10 Book Sale follows on Black Friday weekend.
OwlCrate Morally Gray Friday 2026: Dates and Deals
According to OwlCrate’s help center, Morally Gray Friday runs from Friday, October 30, to Monday, November 2, 2026, with Early Owls Access opening on Thursday, October 29. The sale includes:
- Curated Mystery Bundles
- 25% and 50% off goodies sections, including items from past YA Book & Goodies boxes
- The 2026 Blades of Love pin collection
- A store-exclusive collection
- 200 bonus points when you spend $75 or more
The new products were already listed on owlcrate.com when we checked on October 29, 2026. Mystery Book & Goodies Boxes cost $15 each and contain one book, one pin and one bookmark, in six themes: Enemies to Lovers, Proud Warrior, Spark of Rebellion, Hell Hath No Fury, Animal Companions and Rage Against the Heavens. Mystery Goodies Boxes cost $20 for nine themed items pulled from previous OwlCrate boxes, sorted by mood (“I’m Feeling…” Studious, Cozy, Whimsical, Nostalgic, Moody, Ardent, Adventurous or Epicurious). Both are limited to one per person.
The Blades of Love Pin Collection costs $35 for five enamel pins that fit together, designed by Cade Roach. The Morally Gray Era merch includes a hoodie at $44.99, a tumbler at $29.99, a shirt at $29.99 and a mug at $16.99. Goodies at 25% off include items like the Sunrise Spoon Rest at $7.49 instead of $9.99.
Black Friday: the $10 Book Sale
OwlCrate’s second sale runs from November 27 to 30, 2026, with Early Owls Access on November 26. It is a $10 Book Sale on past subscription and Limited Edition titles. OwlCrate says goodies boxes leave the store for that weekend and return on December 1. For both weekends, OwlCrate will donate 10% of net sales to Room to Read.
Our Take
The $15 Mystery Book & Goodies Box is the best entry point: a book, a pin and a bookmark for less than most new hardcovers. The trade-off is that you pick a trope, not a title, so you could land a book you already own. Book collectors chasing specific editions should wait for the $10 Book Sale in November instead.
Best for: romantasy and YA readers who like surprises. Skip it if: you only want specific titles or special editions.
