There’s a new coffee subscription box in the US: The Brew Plan launched its Coffee Passport Club on October 6, 2026. Each month you get a freshly roasted 12 oz bag of a different coffee in a box that unfolds into a little guide to that origin, plus an online “passport” to collect stamps from 10 origins. Plans start at $29 a month with free US shipping.

What is the Coffee Passport Club?

The Brew Plan, a home coffee site and newsletter, describes the box as “half map, half storybook.” According to the brand, every box includes:

  • A 12 oz bag of coffee, roasted to order, whole bean or ground
  • A map of where it grows and the story behind it
  • Tasting notes and a light-to-dark roast meter
  • A brew recipe with dose, ratio, grind and time
  • A QR code to an origin guide and The Brew Plan’s guided brew timer

Members then log each bag in an online passport to collect that country’s stamp, rate it privately and add notes. The Brew Plan lists 10 origins to collect: Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Mexico and Indonesia (Sumatra) now, with Peru, Kenya, Costa Rica and Honduras “coming soon.”

Plans and prices

  • Single: $29 a month for one 12 oz bag of a new origin
  • Explorer: $49 a month for two different coffees (24 oz total)
  • Prepaid gifts: $29 (1 month), $56 (2 months), $84 (3 months), $159 (6 months) or $299 (12 months), with no renewals

Every plan ships free in the US (US addresses only), and you can skip, pause or cancel from your account. A decaf option (No. 09 Monsoon Hush, a water-process decaf from Indonesia) is available every month. Boxes ship when the monthly payment goes through and arrive in about a week, according to The Brew Plan. For holiday gifting, the brand says to order by December 15 for a first box before Christmas, and offers a printable gift certificate.

Our take

At $29 for 12 oz with shipping included, the Single plan works out to about $2.42 per ounce (our math). What sets it apart is the packaging and the passport, which make it more of a gift than most coffee clubs. Keep in mind that the current lineup lists nine coffees, and several are blends rather than single origins (No. 02 Four Winds mixes Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Ethiopia), so it’s more “coffee tour” than strict single-origin club. It’s also a brand-new subscription from a small brand, so there’s no track record yet. The prepaid 12-month gift ($299, about $24.92 a box) is the cheapest per bag. We haven’t tested this box.
