Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription box that costs $10. It sends out five makeup, skincare, haircare samples every month and is a great way to test expensive makeup products before you purchase a full size!
Today I am reviewing the October box which is probably one of my favorites so far!
The Products
This month’s box had a little bit of everything and I’m pretty excited about all of it. Two skincare products, two makeup and a body care item. The sample sizes were ok excluding the deodorant which was a nice travel size!
Air Repair Protect + Prevent Hydrating Serum | Full Size $26
This is a very lightweight but hydrating serum, ideal for someone with normal to oily skin looking for a bit of hydration as we head into cooler months. It has hyaluronic acid and protective cloudberry seed oil to ensure a refreshed and hydrated face. There is no scent so it’ll be fine for sensitive skin as well!
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner | Full size $22
This is one of my favorite eyeliners and I’m glad to have it back in my collection! It’s ultra black, has an ultra fine tip and stays put once applied. The pen is easy to hold and control so you’re guaranteed to get a perfect winged eyeliner every time.
Mellow Cosmetics Liquid Lip Paint in Auckland | Full Size $16
This nude shade is ideal for Fall and Winter so it’s a great addition to the box, and when do you really go through a full size liquid lipstick? This isn’t too drying and leaves a nice, velvety finish to the lips. It’s comfortable but also stays in place all day!
Sand and Sky Brilliant Sky Purifying Pink Clay Mask | Full Size $49
It’s always nice to try out an expensive mask before purchasing the full size and you can get at least two uses out of this sample. This mask is meant to detoxify and brighten your complexion. It’s made with Australian kaolin clay, organic aloe vera, and Kakadu plum; the mask’s high quality ingredients are bound to leave beautiful skin behind.
Schmidt’s Sensitive Skin Deodorant Stick in Jasmine Tea | Full Size $10.99
An all natural deodorant that works? Yes please! This deodorant is made without aluminum, propylene, glycol, paragons, and phthalates so it’s safe for everyone to use. The plant bases will help absorb odor and sweat, while the jasmine and green tea will soothe your skin. I was most excited to receive this because I’ve been looking for a natural deodorant that was accessible, affordable, and actually worked!
This was a great box and I was really pleased with the nice mix of items!
