Book of the Month has revealed its November 2026 selections: five new hardcovers, led by Jeff Zentner’s Love, Like Apples, with an Early Release romance and a Limited Edition romantasy in the mix. Members pick one book from $17.99 a month, or about $14 a book on the 12-book plan.
Book of the Month November 2026: The 5 Picks
The lineup was live on bookofthemonth.com under “Our selections for November” when we checked on October 30, 2026, with all five titles in stock:
- Love, Like Apples by Jeff Zentner (historical fiction): a story of hope and second chances set in 1970s New York, with puppetry at its heart.
- In Every Future, It’s Us by Katie Naymon (romance): next-door neighbors and childhood friends, secret letters and 17 years of yearning, with a New Year’s Eve feel. It carries the Early Release badge, so members get it before the rest of the world.
- Revenge Plot by Stephanie Wrobel (thriller): a book agent’s vacation in a remote cabin is upended by a desperate stranger who refuses to leave. It is a book within a book, set on a snowy Christmas Day in the Catskills, and runs past 400 pages.
- Defy the Dusk by Danielle L. Jensen (fantasy): a dystopian romantasy where enemies forge an alliance to save their world. It is flagged as a Limited Edition and a repeat author pick.
- Sweet Pea by Kit de Waal (literary fiction): a novel about the price of forgiveness and new beginnings.
What November Costs
Book of the Month lists three main ways in: the 1-Book plan at $17.99 a month, the 12-Book plan at $167.99 (about $14 per book, our math), and an audiobook plan with 2 credits for $29.98. Members can add extra November titles to the same box, or skip the month entirely.
The Limited Edition tag on Defy the Dusk is the one to watch: special editions tend to sell out faster than standard picks, so romantasy fans should choose early in the month.
Our Take
November is a strong genre month: a snowbound thriller for the holidays, a members-first romance and a collectible romantasy in the same box. Jeff Zentner, best known for young adult novels, gives the month its headline literary pick. If you only want one, Revenge Plot fits the season best, while Defy the Dusk is the one most likely to disappear.
Best for: readers who want a hardcover a month at well below list price. Skip it if: none of the five genres speak to you this month; skipping is free.
